Hi, I’m Cherie St. Pierre
I am a dedicated child psychologist with a passion for fostering the well-being and development of young minds. I hold a Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta, and I bring over 20 years of enriching experience working with preschool and school-aged children.
Throughout my career, I have served as a psychologist at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, engaging with children in various capacities. I have learned that enhancing strengths, recognizing challenges, and implementing tailored interventions, builds resilience to help children effectively navigate life’s adversities. I draw inspiration from the Circle of Security, the NeuroRelational Framework, and Trauma-Informed Care to create a nurturing environment that supports holistic development. I am committed to partnering with you on the journey of understanding and supporting your child’s unique needs. Together, we can pave the way for their optimal growth and development.
In my extensive experience within public healthcare, I have collaborated with colleagues and operated as a solo practitioner. I specialize in conducting comprehensive assessments, covering intellectual, developmental, adaptive, social-emotional, and behavioral domains for preschool to school-aged children. Integrating insights from parent feedback and the child’s community support system helps to inform personalized strategies. I support parents in facilitating the integration of assessment insights into the home environment.
